Our high specification quartz movements are accurate to +/- 30 seconds per month and will run for one year on a 1.5V AA/R6 battery. The movements come with all fittings as standard including metal hanger, gold metal fixing nut and washer plus rubber washers.

To identify the shaft length of the movement that you will require, measure the thickness of the dial element of your clock, be that a standard dial or piece of wood, slate etc. and use the following guidelines.

A dial up to 3mm thick will need a 14.5mm length shaft.
A dial up to 6mm thick will need a 17.0mm length shaft.
A dial up to 13mm thick will need a 23.5mm length shaft.

The movements should be pushed through the dial part of your clock (an 8mm hole minimum is required) and secured with the washer and fixing nut. The hands can then be attached simply by push fitting them onto the shaft. Finally, you will need to decide whether you require a second hand to finish off the clock or just a gold seconds pip.
